Shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp! Summertime (and really any time) is the perfect time to bring out those shrimp recipes you have shelved over the winter. Get out the grill or fire up your oven for this amazing dish from Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, in Hilton Head South Carolina.
A Little Background
I have been going to Hilton Head Island every summer for almost 15 years. Crossing the bridge and seeing all of the beautiful water surrounding you gets my heart going every time. The beach is my happy place, a respite from the craziness of life. Even better than relaxing on the beach or going out on the waterway in a kayak or paddle board is the delicious and abundant amount of seafood you can find on and near the island.
There are a ton of options for seafood on the island. My favorite is Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks. This restaurant has been in the family since the 1970’s, and they really know how to do seafood right. Whether you sit inside their air conditioned dining room or out on the dock overlooking the waterway, it is perfect.
About the Recipe
If you’ve been looking for a great recipe to add extra flavor to your dishes, you can’t go wrong with a tasty barbecue sauce. Hudson’s real deal barbecue sauce can add that extra kick to any of your favorite meat or seafood dishes. It’s easy to make and has just the right amount of spices and flavor to have people hounding you for the recipe.
This portion of the recipe combines Hudson’s real deal barbecue sauce with shrimp. Shrimp is so versatile. Steamed, boiled, grilled or sautéed, you can make the dish your own creation. The Carmine family at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks was nice enough to share their recipe for barbecue shrimp. (You guys are the best!) Their barbecue sauce recipe goes beyond this dish…so keep it on hand for your tailgating or holiday festivities.
